So traditional is the area, in fact, that a few of the shops are closed on Mondays, so the proprietors can enjoy their own kind of week-end, although you'll find the restaurants are usually open for lunch-time and evening trade. Situated at the junction of the A24 and the B279, the Stonecot Hill area has good communication facilities for Central London and for the North Downs.
